Retirement Gift: A Personal Book the Team Writes Together

What do you give someone retiring after twenty or thirty years? A watch or a voucher says nothing. A personal book does: from the first day on the job, through that project nobody believed in, to the joke only the team understands.

The team answers seven questions together and uploads one photo of the retiree. Within a minute there is a book where they are the hero, illustrated, with their real face. You read it aloud at the farewell party, and everyone signs the last page.

Write a farewell book for the retiree Seven questions, one photo, a free preview

A farewell book that is funny and moving at the same time

You pick the tone: funny, with the lines they always say in meetings and the story about the coffee machine, or moving, with what they taught each of you. You can also mix: ten pages, and every page is one moment.

Up to four people appear in the illustrations: the retiree and three colleagues or family members beside them. Everyone on the team can add a memory, and we assemble them into one complete story.

Also right for a retiring manager, teacher or doctor

A personal retirement book fits every profession: a teacher leaving after thirty years in the classroom, a manager who built a department, a doctor who saved lives, a bus driver the whole neighborhood knows. The story is written about the person, not the job title.

Companies that want a book for every retiring employee or for a whole team have a business track with quantity pricing, a logo on the cover and an invoice.

How long does it take?

Can every employee get a copy?

Is it also right for someone retiring from the army or the police?

Yes. The story is written about the years, the people and the moments, in any organization.
